The Public Ministry carried out a raid at a residence located in the Betania sector. During the operation, authorities arrested an individual who had marijuana plants in his house.
According to the official statement from the Prosecutor's Office, the operation was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the area. Upon entering the home, agents found a cultivation of marijuana plants. The subject, whose identity has not been revealed, was arrested at the scene.
"This case is a clear example of the effectiveness of our intelligence and monitoring work," declared a spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office. "We will continue to combat drug trafficking and all its manifestations with determination and firmness," he added.
The detainee will face charges for cultivation and possession of drugs for trafficking purposes, according to current laws in the jurisdiction. He is expected to be presented before a judge in the coming hours for the corresponding preliminary hearing.
