Continued Hearing Against 83 Workers of Suntracs

Yesterday, the hearing of guarantees continued against 83 workers from the Suntracs union, who were involved in the violent demonstrations on Balboa Avenue. The workers are accused of committing various crimes during the protests.

During the hearing, evidence was presented linking the workers to the acts of violence that occurred during the demonstrations. Additionally, it was argued that the accused endangered the physical integrity of people passing through the area.

The defense lawyers for the workers requested the conditional release of their clients, claiming they do not pose a danger to society. However, the Prosecutor's Office opposed this request and sought to maintain the preventive detention of the accused.

"We are dealing with a serious case in which various crimes were committed that cannot go unpunished. It is important that justice is done and that the necessary measures are applied to ensure the safety of the citizenry," said the prosecutor in charge of the case.

The hearing was suspended and it is expected that in the coming days a decision will be made regarding the legal situation of the 83 Suntracs workers.
