Today, the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) issued a statement strongly rejecting the use of violence as a method of pressure in conflict resolution. This declaration highlights the commitment of the Panamanian business sector to seeking peaceful and respectful solutions in any situation.
The hearing of the 83 construction workers accused of six crimes for their alleged participation in the disturbances that occurred on Avenida Balboa continues today. This judicial process continues to generate interest and expectation in public opinion, as it is expected that the facts will be clarified and individual responsibilities regarding these incidents will be determined.
According to representatives of the CCIAP, violence only contributes to exacerbating problems and hinders the construction of a conducive environment for dialogue and negotiation. In this sense, they urge all parties involved in any conflict to choose peaceful and democratic pathways for resolving their differences, thereby promoting an atmosphere of tolerance and mutual understanding in Panamanian society.
In this context, it is expected that today’s proceedings in the judicial sphere will shed more light on the events on Avenida Balboa and allow progress towards seeking fair and transparent justice for all those involved.
