The plenary of the National Assembly of Panama began the discussion of the second debate on the Reforms to the Social Security Fund (CSS) and the Invalidity, Old Age and Death Regime (IVM) after a wait of six hours. It is proposed that the debate be conducted in three blocks, and both the CD Bench and the VAMOS Bench support this discussion structure.
The CD Bench has expressed its support for the three discussion blocks, as long as the health issue is considered a priority. On the other hand, the VAMOS Bench also supports the proposal of the Panamanian Bench to divide the debate into three blocks, with the aim of clearly defining the stances on Project 163.
Amid this discussion, Deputy Luis Eduardo Camacho proposed that the debate be conducted in two blocks, a proposal shared by MOCA, represented by Dr. Ernesto Cedeño. Both sectors consider it important to debate effectively and reach concrete definitions to advance on this vital issue for the country.
In this regard, both the CD Bench and the VAMOS Bench are awaiting a prompt response and mobilization of the debate in the plenary of the National Assembly, with the intention of thoroughly addressing the Reforms to the CSS and the IVM for the benefit of the Panamanian population.
