Proposal for reforms of the Social Security Fund

The Alliance United People for Life presented proposals for Project 163 in the National Assembly, seeking to improve the CSS and opposing the increase in retirement age.

Representatives of the Alliance People United for Life, led by Crispín Chavarría N., delivered a proposal to the Secretary General of the National Assembly, Carlos Alvarado, to be considered in Project 163, which reforms the Social Security Fund (CSS) and the IVM program. The delivery was made by Jamir Córdoba, Secretary of Organization of SUNTRACS, in the presence of Deputy Luis Eduardo Camacho in the Chanchoré Hall of the National Assembly.

The proposal aims to strengthen Project 163, including aspects such as opposing the increase in the Retirement Age, returning to a solidarity system, and preventing the investment fund from being channeled to private banking. These suggestions are part of the modifications that the Alliance People United for Life seeks to incorporate into the CSS reforms, currently under discussion in the second debate in the National Assembly.

It is important to highlight that this initiative represents an additional step in the process of improving the reform project, as it expands the range of considerations to be taken into account in the legislative process. The Alliance People United for Life continues to mobilize actively around the reform Project, seeking to ensure that their proposals are taken into account and reflected in the final modifications made to the legislation.
