Unionists march in protest

Last Friday, the Suntracs unionists marched to Plaza 5 de Mayo in Panama City. During this demonstration, they warned of a possible "titanic battle" against what they consider persecution by the Government.

The representatives of the National Unified Union of Construction Workers and Similar (Suntracs) expressed their concern and rejection of what they perceive as an intention by the Government to limit their labor and union rights. They argued that they are facing laws that seek to undermine their representation and affect their working conditions.

In the words of one of the union leaders: "We are facing a titanic battle. It is not only a struggle of Suntracs but of the entire working class." This statement reflects the determination of the union to resist and defend their rights against policies they consider harmful to workers in the construction sector.

In addition to the march held on Friday, future actions and mobilizations have been announced by Suntracs to confront what they perceive as a threat to their rights. The willingness to resist and the warning of a "titanic battle" highlight the union's firm stance against the measures they consider unfair by the Government.
