The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has been addressing the concerns of the residents of Río Indio, a watershed covering more than 580 square kilometers in the provinces of Cocle, Colón, and Panama Oeste.

During the meeting, ACP representatives listened to and responded to the local community's concerns regarding water management in the region, as well as plans for future projects that may affect the environment.

One of the highlights was the importance of maintaining a proper balance between economic development and environmental conservation in the Río Indio watershed. ACP officials committed to continue working closely with the community to ensure sustainable management of natural resources in the area.

In the words of one of the residents who participated in the meeting: "It is reassuring to see that the authorities are willing to listen to our concerns and work together to protect our environment. We hope that this dialogue continues and translates into concrete actions that benefit everyone."
