After 30 years of service, Jorge Gobea has retired. Gobea leaves his position as director of the National Border Service (Senafront), paving the way for new leadership in the institution.
The person replacing Jorge Gobea as the director of Senafront will be Larry Solís. Solís takes on this role with the responsibility of continuing the work done by Gobea and guiding Senafront in its functions of protection and surveillance of Panama's borders.
In Gobea's words about his retirement: "It has been an honor and a commitment to serve my country from Senafront over these three decades. I trust that Larry Solís will continue to strengthen the work of the institution for the benefit of Panama and its security."
With the background and commitment demonstrated by Solís, it is expected that the transition in the direction of Senafront will be smooth and that the work of protection at the country's borders will maintain the standards of excellence that characterize the institution.
