University of Panama defends its transparency

The rector of the University of Panama clarifies that a legal case involving Professor Fidel Palacio is not related to his administration and reiterates the university's commitment to justice.


The rector of the University of Panama, Dr. Eduardo Flores Castro, responded to information circulating on social media about a judicial case that occurred more than 15 years ago. Flores Castro clarified that the events in which Professor Fidel Palacio is mentioned did not take place during his administration.

In a statement shared through the official channels of the University, the rector indicated that individuals involved in judicial processes must face due process to determine their criminal responsibility regarding the charges brought against them. He emphasized that the institution has always collaborated and will continue to collaborate with judicial authorities to ensure justice.
