A second suspect involved in the kidnapping of Dayra Caicedo has been detained preventively. The university student was kidnapped on the night of February 19 while arriving at her residence.
Authorities reported that this suspect was captured after evidence linking her to the case was found. The first suspect is also under preventive detention while the investigation continues.
"We are working hard to clarify this case and bring those responsible to justice as soon as possible," stated a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office.
Dayra Caicedo's family has expressed their gratitude for the authorities' efforts and is asking for justice in this very delicate case.
