Panama Supports Paraguay's Candidacy Before the OAS

The former Panamanian president Guillermo Endara and the Paraguayan presidential candidate Efraín Alegre held a meeting in which they expressed mutual support. In this meeting, Endara was joined by the former president of the Republic of Panama, Guillermo Endara, and the presidential aspirant of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli.

During the meeting, Endara and Martinelli showed their backing for Efraín Alegre's candidacy for the General Secretary of the Organization of American States (OAS).

The former president of Panama and the Paraguayan presidential candidate discussed the Free Trade Agreement between Panama and Honduras, which they consider an important step to strengthen trade relations between both countries.

Endara and Martinelli agreed that Panama's accession to Mercosur as an Associated State will open many opportunities in terms of trade and investment for both nations. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen ties between Panama and Paraguay in various areas, such as politics, economy, and culture.

At the end of the meeting, Guillermo Endara and Efraín Alegre expressed their commitment to continue working together for the interests of their countries and the Latin American region as a whole.
