
The Ministry of Education of Panama has reported a series of thefts and vandalistic acts at ten schools in the country. The criminals managed to steal belongings from the educational institutions and vandalized the electrical cables of the buildings.
According to the authorities of the Ministry of Education, these incidents have affected the normal conduct of academic activities in the affected schools. In addition to the material damages caused, there is concern for the safety of students and teaching staff.
"We are working to ensure the integrity of the educational institutions and to take the necessary measures to prevent future incidents of this kind," stated a spokesperson for the Ministry of Education.
The authorities have increased surveillance at the affected schools and have asked for the community's collaboration to prevent further thefts and vandalistic acts. Additionally, coordination is being made with law enforcement authorities to investigate the events and identify those responsible.
