
As part of the Firmness Plan, the National Police units, in coordination with the Public Ministry, have had an intense day in the last 24 hours, managing to seize 34 packages of drugs and 7 firearms at the national level. Additionally, 148 people were apprehended, of whom 92 were detained for offenses, 20 in flagrante delicto, 24 for administrative violations, 9 related to micro-trafficking, and 3 for drug trafficking.
During this operation, 47 search warrants were executed, resulting in the seizure of B/.847.00 in cash, 92 canes, and 25 bags with illegal substances, as well as 26 ammunition. Additionally, the recovery of two vehicles was achieved while one was seized for investigative purposes.
In terms of traffic, a total of 1,099 tickets were issued for various infractions, among which 214 were for speeding, 51 for improper lighting, 10 for talking on the phone, 15 for expired licenses, and 30 related to drivers under the influence of alcohol.
The authorities' task continues to be rigorous in the fight against crime and the maintenance of public order, reflected in these concrete results aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and the prevention of crimes in Panama.
