Two individuals, known as 'Cholo Bemba' and 'Byron', were apprehended in the province of Colón during operations carried out by the Public Ministry (MP) in coordination with the National Police. Both were wanted for crimes against life and personal integrity, specifically for attempted homicide.
In the case of 'Cholo Bemba', a 23-year-old, he was apprehended in the Nuevo San Juan community, in the Transístmica area of Colón, for an attempted homicide that occurred on May 1 of this year. Similarly, in the La Feria sector, 'Byron', a 24-year-old, was apprehended for his alleged involvement in an attempted homicide that occurred on September 17, 2025, in the Cativá district.
Both suspects were referred to the Homicide Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding procedures as ordered by judicial authorities. They will now have to appear before a guarantees judge to legalize the apprehension, the imputation of charges, and the precautionary measures.
