Panama Elected to Head Inter-American Cadastre and Property Registration Network for First Time

Panama has been officially chosen to preside over the Inter-American Network of Cadastre and Property Registration (RICRP), one of the most important hemispheric platforms in land administration, cadastral modernization, and registry strengthening. For the first time in its history, Panama will lead this network. With this presidency, Panama will promote an agenda of technical integration, multinational cooperation, and institutional strengthening that will directly benefit the countries of the region. The ANATI (National Land Administration Authority) will work in coordination with the RICRP, the Organization of American States (OAS), the Public Registry of Panama, and related land administration institutions to ensure effective, transparent, and innovative management during Panama's presidency. With this historic achievement, Panama positions itself as a key player in the modernization of cadastre and property registration in the Americas, consolidating its role as a regional benchmark in land matters, geospatial technology, and territorial governance. The Administrator General of the ANATI, Lic. Andrés Pagés Chanis, stated that this election "constitutes an honor for Panama and a hemispheric commitment that we assume with responsibility, professionalism, and a vision for the future." The election took place within the framework of the XI Conference and Annual Assembly of the RICRP, held in the city of Lima, Peru. This designation represents a transcendental fact for the country and a direct recognition of the technical, institutional, and diplomatic leadership exercised by the Panamanian delegation, headed by the Administrator General of the National Authority of Land Administration (ANATI), Lic. Andrés Pagés Chanis, and the director of the Public Registry of Panama, Lic. Nairobia Escrucería.
