In Panama, a suspect was apprehended during a raid ordered by the Public Ministry in coordination with the National Police, as he is allegedly linked to a homicide case that occurred the afternoon of November 17, in the community of Río Alejandro, corregimiento of Puerto Pilón in Colón.
In this armed attack, three people were injured, one of whom died; the victim was identified as Armando Bustamante Maceno, 51 years old.
Hermógenes Argüelles, head of the third police zone of Colón, reported that this apprehension is related to the event that occurred the afternoon of November 17, in which a person lost their life as a result of an armed attack in Río Alejandro, which motivated several search warrants in conjunction with the Public Ministry.
He indicated that, as a result of these actions, the apprehension of a person was achieved in a residence located in the Río Alejandro sector, for his alleged involvement in this criminal event.
He added that the Homicide Prosecutor's Office expects a judge to charge him with the crime against life and personal integrity in its homicide modality.
