The National Migration Service of Panama (SNM) carried out a humanitarian operation this week to transfer 102 migrants of a reverse north-south flow from the TMSC port (Terminal Marítimo Servicio Colón). All migrants are Venezuelan nationals, including 69 adults and 33 minors. The group was boarded on the SENAN L-303 Presidente Manuel Amador Guerrero vessel, heading to Puerto Obaldía in the Guna Yala region. From there, the migrants will continue their journey to their country of origin, Venezuela. The flow of migrants from north to south has increased in recent months, as many have attempted to enter Panama but failed, forcing them to return. Through the province of Colón, these migrants use the maritime ports of La Guaira and Miramar in the Costa Arriba de Colón area to board boats that take them to Colombia, from where they continue their journey. The operation is part of the National Migration Service's actions to ensure the well-being of migrants and facilitate their safe return home.
