More than 50,000 graduating students will begin receiving their diplomas starting December 20th, confirmed Edwin Gordón, National Director of Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education. He also mentioned that on December 20th, educators working in remote areas will also be transferred. On the other hand, he emphasized that the school year is progressing without setbacks despite the situation that arose with teachers in the first months. The public official highlighted that the ministry he is part of has already received the calendar for the country's 16 educational regions. According to the official, Meduca has allowed some schools to advance their ceremonies due to logistical issues. "This is because some schools would have complications due to space or rental issues," Gordón indicated. In this sense, Gordón said that some institutions have had difficulty finding venues for the event after December 22nd, the official date on which the acts were supposed to begin. Regarding the number of graduating students, Gordón said they amount to 51,000 nationwide. "We decided to advance them because they were set to begin on the 22nd."
