Former President Ricardo Martinelli believes that some links in the plot to undermine the presidential candidacy of then-candidate José Raúl Mulino for the Realizando Meta party remain to be deciphered. 'After listening to and reading this telenovela of a conspiracy to influence, disrupt, and, above all, not respect the vote or the will of the people in the 2024 elections, I believe that some links are still missing,' Martinelli posted on social media. 'He is the one who had me disqualified from running for President in 2024 out of his hatred, rage, and strange connections,' Martinelli fired back. At the time of filing the lawsuit, Karamañites was a collaborator for Foco, a news channel on Instagram and a public enemy of Martinelli. Among the links Martinelli points out is 'one in particular, Fulo Arias, who played a role in this conspiracy.' These conversations were taken to the Second Notary's Office of Panama Circuit on May 28 by Karamañites, who was the lawyer who filed the unconstitutionality lawsuit against Mulino's candidacy and kept the candidate on edge until the very last moment. Martinelli's reaction came after conversations between lawyer Karisma Karamañites Testa and her colleague, Carlos Ernesto González Ramírez, a partner at the firm Morgan & Morgan, were made public. 'There is still much more to decipher, but we will soon know.' However, the lawyer's relationship with Foco deteriorated after Mulino emerged victorious in the May 5, 2024 elections, and she felt little support. Additionally, it was also learned that Annette Planells, former director of the newspaper La Prensa, another media outlet adversarial to Martinelli, was also on that social network. According to the former head of state, 'now everything fits and adds up.'
