The information that circulated last night indicated that there was a strong confrontation between inmates and even a death. None of that is true, the institution assured. In a statement, the Police said that “no confrontation or loss of human life” has been registered within the penitentiary. They emphasized that they completely reject those publications that only seek to generate tension and confusion among the people. The institution also reiterated that it continues to work constantly and responsibly to protect both officials and inmates, maintaining peace and order within the center. Additionally, they asked the population not to be misled by malicious stories circulating on social networks and to rather get informed through official channels, because those rumors are only breaking the country's tranquility.
