Panama - Two officials from the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) in the West Panama province and a private citizen were apprehended during the 'Anticorruption Operation.' This operation was carried out by the National Police, in conjunction with the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, in the districts of La Chorrera and Arraiján. The three accused are being investigated for the crime against economic patrimony, in its aggravated theft modality. Investigations by the Public Ministry reveal that the three apprehended individuals are linked to the aggravated theft of state fuel for personal gain. The two MOP officials apprehended in this operation worked as drivers. During this operation, technological evidence was collected, which, along with the apprehended individuals, has been made available to the Public Ministry.
