In his victory speech, Salas said, 'One cannot belong to such a noble organization as Christian Democracy, today the Popular Party, and want to undermine and destroy it from within.' He thanked the party delegates for their trust in the new leadership, promising to work for the party's welfare and create a favorable structure for 2029. Salas called on young people to join the project and emphasized that there were 'obstacles' to the convention that led to his victory. One of the first goals is to increase membership and address the needs of the Panamanian people. Caicedo stated that they will work on renewing the party and enhancing its credibility.
