In Panama, a Panamanian and a Colombian were apprehended in the corregimiento of Jaqué, district of Chepigana, province of Darién, while transporting three bales filled with packages of drugs. It was anti-narcotics units from the National Border Service (Senafront) that detected and apprehended the drug traffickers as they were moving suspiciously in a boat. After being intercepted, the border guards located the drug stash inside the vessel, which, upon being counted, revealed a total of 48 packages of dry herb presumed to be marijuana. The individuals were transferred to the mainland and are now in the custody of the Drugs Prosecutor's Office for the judicial processing of the case.
