Panama's Comptroller: Government Servant or People's Defender?

The article criticizes Panama's Comptroller General Anel Flores, accusing him of bias and serving the government's interests rather than seeking truth and justice. The author calls for accountability and transparency from all officials, including the president and deputies.

Panama is today one of the richest countries in Latin America, but today it is practically submerged in mental and physical indigence, imposed by the governments. They make the poor population beg, with the so-called free fairs, in long and tedious lines, as a possible mechanism for submission. Where are the audit reports from the mayor's offices? Where are the audit reports from each and every one of them? There is also no talk about the whereabouts of the expensive drilling rig truck that was purchased in disuse. Never before has a comptroller general served a president to such an extent that it gave the impression of being an internal auditor for the Ministry of Education, pursuing the teachers who patriotically defended the working population and thousands of ingrates in a national strike against Law 462, from which some, even professionals, are already suffering the consequences. LET'S GO, LET'S GO, Panama. What's worse, at Christmas they sell a bag of food with a ham, which is not free either. The government plays with the dignity of the population, which to date has not understood the level of indolence, neglect, and intolerance of those who govern against the poor population, even worse with the peasant and indigenous. More than a comptroller general, the rector of the Comptroller's Office seems to be a flunkey of the government and not an inquisitor in search of truth, honesty, transparency, and equity. He himself openly announces in the media the supposed failure of the deputies of the LET'S GO Coalition to deliver reports. That is where he must demonstrate his function ascribed in the Organic Law of the General Comptroller's Office. No more parallel decentralization. He has also not been heard saying that he intends to demand from the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, an annual report on the use of the discretionary fund, both his and the previous government's. In Panama, there are more than 700 community boards. Something doesn't add up in that story. It is heard in the neighborhoods that there will be a round of goals for about 10 million dollars, delivered to certain community boards and municipalities. However, he is not heard doing the same regarding the other deputies, mainly those who are part of or operate with the government. Where are the reports from the deputies on their re-election, with emphasis on the government's allies? Publicly, his pronouncement, investigation, and report on the 600 missing steel beams from the facilities of the Ministry of Public Works, which were for the maintenance of the Bridge of the Americas, are unknown. Do not stop and keep in mind the motto of General Omar Torrijos Herrera: "In every chest a trench." I am the son of Juana. The Comptroller General of the Republic, Anel Flores. By Victoriano Rodríguez Santos, Economist, educator, master's in Human Resources. Some deputies from the LET'S GO coalition have refuted, denied, and publicly contradicted the comptroller general, with evidence, who, apparently, intends to lie to the population through media that the population perceives as partial or influenced, due to political or economic interests. Apparently, it is a variable of the famous and publicized PARALLEL DECENTRALIZATION. God save you, Panama!
