Panama Develops Plan to Promote Country Amid World Cup 2026 Participation

The Panamanian government is exploring the development of a national plan to promote the country's culture and advantages, within the framework of Panama's participation in the FIFA World Cup Mexico/United States/Canada 2026. This major sporting event will bring together the national football teams of 48 nations. To this end, the Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, led a coordination meeting with personnel from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIRE), as well as the diplomatic corps of the countries where Panama will play its matches as part of Group L. The meeting, held at the Palace of the Herons, was attended by Panama's designated ambassador to Canada, Ricardo Alemán, the consul in Houston, United States, Manuel Salerno, and Panama's ambassador to Washington, United States, Jose Miguel Alemán.
