Senafront in Safe Summer 2026 Operation in Guna Yala

The Guna Yala region is the area where agents of the National Border Service (Senafront) are carrying out the 'Firmness' Plan as part of the 'Safe Summer 2026' operation, to prevent crimes and provide security to citizens. The actions are being carried out by agents of the Second Caribbean Brigade through preventive patrols. The patrols are conducted on the road connecting the Guna Yala region, where there are checkpoints for vehicles leaving and entering this indigenous area, which is very popular with locals and tourists during this summer season. Another of the places inspected are the docks where boats depart and arrive from different parts of the region. Shops are also visited by Senafront agents and residents of indigenous communities, which are also visited by tourists who come to see the beaches. The presence of Senafront in these areas is due to their susceptibility to illicit activities.
