The leader emphasized that the administrators and directors of Inadeh have already filed the corresponding complaints; however, they as an association also took action to expedite the investigations. A fleet of vehicles and new equipment reportedly disappeared from the National Institute of Professional Training and Human Development (Inadeh) during the previous administration. “That is part of the complaint that was filed with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as all the sophisticated and specialized equipment for teaching the courses that disappeared brand new from the Inadeh warehouses,” he said. “We’re talking about thousands and thousands of dollars disappearing on new, sophisticated equipment, rolls, entire reels of cables, and to this day no one has been held accountable,” he told Nex Noticias. Regarding the vehicle fleet, Ortega said there are images, which he cannot show because they are part of the investigation. According to Ortega, vehicle fleets left the institution and new equipment in boxes disappeared overnight. Ortega also lashed out at the PRD administration, which he described as disastrous and responsible for destroying professional training in the country. “There were cases where this PRD administration took the vocational training equipment, sophisticated, specialized equipment, stacked it in a room and practically left it there to deteriorate, and today that equipment is obsolete,” he added. This was reported by Luis Ortega, from the Inadeh Workers Association, who this week filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Comptroller General’s Office and Antai. The complainant added that they do not know the whereabouts of the fleet, which consists of between five and six cars. The official explained that the justification given at the time for the storage of the equipment was the demolition of the old building for the construction of another one.
