In the province of Colón, through investigative proceedings, units of the Judicial Investigation Directorate, along with the Public Ministry, apprehended two individuals, including the former representative and former treasurer of the Cristóbal Community Board. The apprehension of both individuals comes after investigations led by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office for the alleged commission of a crime against public administration in the form of aggravated embezzlement related to funds by the National Decentralization Authority. These investigations correspond to an economic injury of $339,729.64. The citizens were transferred for the corresponding procedures at the orders of the judicial authorities.
