The National Police of Panama presented the results of the fourth day of Operation Odysseus – Phase 2, a security deployment carried out throughout the country to reinforce public order, combat crime, and guarantee citizen tranquility. The figures show an intense police labor on the streets, combining preventive actions, citizen checks, and judicial operations. More than 500 people apprehended throughout the country. During the day, the authorities managed to apprehend 536 people, as a result of ongoing investigations, strategic patrols, and coordinated operations. In parallel, 290 search warrants were carried out, essential for the advancement of judicial processes and the disarticulation of criminal structures. The official report details that, as part of the operation, the following were handled: 382 official citations, 36 apprehensions in flagrante, 93 administrative infractions, 1 case of micro-trafficking, and 1 case related to drug trafficking. These actions reflect a comprehensive approach to crime, from administrative infractions to high-impact crimes. The operation also allowed for the removal of dangerous items from the streets that pose a threat to public safety: 26 seized weapons, 442 confiscated cartridges, and 3 confiscated drug packages. On this fourth day, 189,864 citizen verifications were carried out, reinforcing police presence and direct contact with the population.
