On January 17, 2026, the Comptroller General's Office conducted a national operation to verify official vehicles within the framework of the 2026 Thousand Polleras Parade. The operation aims to ensure the proper use of state assets and compliance with current regulations. The verification was carried out by the General Inspection Directorate, in accordance with Executive Decree No. 167 of 2021, which regulates the use of state vehicles and provides for administrative sanctions in case of non-compliance. The operation took place in the provinces of Los Santos and Herrera, where 27 official vehicles were inspected, 26 of which complied with the established provisions. As a result of the operation, one vehicle was retained for non-compliance, and the corresponding cause was applied. The Comptroller General's Office reiterates its commitment to transparency, legality, and the responsible use of public resources.
