The incident occurred in the sector known as El Mirador, located in Torrijos Carter, corregimiento of Belisario Frías, district of San Miguelito. According to the National Police, this morning several individuals requested a ride through the platform's application, but when the driver arrived, they subdued him, deprived him of his liberty, and stole his vehicle. The victim was abandoned by the criminals in the middle of a thicket in El Mirador, with his hands tied and gagged. After the robbers left, the worker managed to get out of the brush and asked for help from residents in the area, who untied him and called the National Police. Following the report, the National Police reviewed the surveillance system's cameras and, after identifying one of the suspects, located and apprehended him in the same area where the deprivation of liberty occurred. The Police and the Public Ministry continue to carry out various investigative procedures and raids in the area, as well as in adjacent sectors, to locate other suspects and the victim's red sedan.
