During his first visit to Latin America, Orthodox Patriarch Theodore II highlighted the strengthening of interreligious dialogue, hospitality to the Greek community in Panama, and the commitment to universal Christian values, as well as the diplomatic and symbolic recognition offered by President Mulino's administration.
