The Police carried out 693 promotions to the ranks of lieutenant, captain, and major. This figure adds to the 2,648 units recently promoted. Continuing with the guidelines of the Plan Firmeza, the National Police proceeded to carry out the promotion of 693 units, stated Subcommissioner Raquel Meléndez, National Deputy Director of Human Resources of the National Police. Among the promoted are 398 subalterns promoted to lieutenants, 80 lieutenants to captain, and 15 captains to the rank of Major. In this way, the National Police complies with the administrative procedures that frame the incentives for the work and effort made by the units to provide security to Panamanian society.
