A group of retired national police officers held a peaceful demonstration in the Divisa area to draw the attention of the authorities and the public. They stated that after more than thirty years of service, they demand that their demands be met. According to Captain Efraín Castillo, leader of the retired officers, they feel deceived because, despite numerous official promises, they have still not been paid the seniority bonuses they claim to be entitled to. "Throughout more than thirty years we have worked, and now we demand that our demands be met," declared one of the retirees at the demonstration. Protesters carried banners demanding the immediate payment of their dues. They warned that their patience is running out and did not rule out taking more forceful pressure measures if the government does not give a clear response in the coming days.
