President Appoints Andrea Vega as New SENNIAF Director

The President of the Republic announced this Friday the appointment of Andrea Carolina Vega as the new General Director of the National Secretariat of Childhood, Adolescence and Family (SENNIAFI). The official will be responsible for executing and supervising the comprehensive protection policies for the rights of children and adolescents throughout the country. The decision was made through Executive Decree No. 26 after evaluating Vega's career and her background in public management. From her office, she will have to coordinate with decentralized and specialized units to ensure family care and the protection of minors in vulnerable situations. With this appointment, the government seeks to ensure the continuity of programs that strengthen the protection of the rights of children and adolescents, as well as improve the administrative management of SENNIAFI throughout the country.
