Three individuals were arrested following the detection of a new drug trafficking modality by the National Border Service (SENAFRONT). Through coordination with the Chiriquí Drug Prosecutor's Office, 16 packages of a suspected illicit substance were found inside aluminum molds. In this case, three Panamanian citizens, aged 47, 46, and 25, were apprehended. As part of the 'Plan Firmeza', Anti-Narcotics units of the National Border Service (SENAFRONT), at the San Isidro Comprehensive Checkpoint, profiled a bus-type vehicle allegedly dedicated to cargo transport. Likewise, $1,579 in cash and three cellphones were seized, which will be made available to the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal proceedings. With these actions, SENAFront reaffirms its commitment to combating crime and transnational organized crime that seeks to evade the strong presence of border guards.
