Two police sergeants were injured in two separate incidents: one while checking a parking lot and another during a robbery attempt. Both officers were hospitalized, and police are investigating the attacks.

Two police officers were injured in separate incidents in Panama. The first incident occurred when police were checking a parking lot in the Cerro Batea area. A police sergeant was shot in the right leg during the incident and was initially taken to a medical center before being transferred to a private hospital for further evaluation. In a second incident on Sunday night, another police sergeant was injured during a reported robbery attempt in the El MaraƱonal area. According to preliminary information, the police officer was intercepted by criminals trying to rob him of his belongings. When the suspects checked his wallet, they allegedly realized he was a police officer and opened fire. The officer was shot in the left thigh and in the genital area and was urgently taken to a hospital for medical attention. Following this incident, the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) has launched investigations to locate and capture those responsible for the attack on the police officer.
