A residence used for the recruitment and sexual exploitation of minors and adult women was dismantled in San Isidro, in the San Miguelito district, during an operation carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office against Organized Crime and the National Police, in which one person was apprehended. The investigation revealed that the apprehended, a 28-year-old man, recruited teenagers and adult women whose images he then promoted through catalogs on social media and instant messaging applications like WhatsApp. The investigation revealed that the suspect received money for the dissemination of the images of young women appearing in sexual situations. During the search warrant conducted at the suspect's residence, authorities seized evidence, including technological equipment allegedly used to disseminate images with sexual content. Authorities are working to locate the victims of this crime so that they can file the respective complaints and receive psychological support. The evidence is also being analyzed to determine the date on which this criminal activity began and if there are other people involved. The apprehended will be brought before a guarantees judge for the formulation of charges and the application of precautionary measures. In the year 2025, a total of 6,273 sexual crimes were registered nationwide, of which 315 were committed in the San Miguelito district.
