During Holy Week 2026, over 178,000 migration movements, along with 3,163 verifications and 156 detected incidents, reflected the intensity of the traveler flow and the scope of the control migration operations across the country. The official figures detail that 178,573 migration procedures were processed, of which 88,406 correspond to entries and 90,167 to exits, confirming a smooth flow at the control points. As in previous years, air travel once again concentrated the heaviest transit load, with 77,048 entries and 78,080 exits, followed by land routes (8,837 entries and 9,556 exits) and maritime routes (2,521 entries and 2,531 exits). The operations allowed the identification of 156 incidents, mainly due to irregular entry, expired stay, and lack of work permits. These situations led to the execution of 156 migration actions, including inadmissions, returns, summons, and other administrative measures. The highest number of verifications was recorded in Chiriquí (60), followed by the Panama metropolitan area (20), Bocas del Toro and Chepo (15 each), Veraguas (14), and Darién (11), as well as other areas such as Herrera, Coclé, Colón, and Los Santos. Despite the high volume of displacements, the authorities highlighted that the results demonstrate an orderly management and effective control of the migration flow during one of the most demanding seasons of the year. This deployment was carried out under the 'Firmeza' Plan, promoted by the Ministry of Public Security under the direction of Minister Frank Alexis Abrego, as part of the strategic actions to strengthen security and ensure compliance with current regulations. We reaffirm our commitment to national security and inter-institutional effort with the rest of the security bodies, always highlighting a management based on our motto: 'Service, Excellence, and Control'.
