Panama will fine foreigners for illegal entry

President Mulino announced during his weekly conference that Panama will impose fines on foreigners who enter the country illegally.

According to Mulino, this measure will be applied to curb illegal migration and ensure national security. Fines will be imposed on those foreigners detected entering the country through unauthorized points or who do not have the required documentation.

Mulino emphasized the importance of protecting the country's borders and effectively regulating the entry of foreigners. 'This measure is necessary to avoid risky situations and to maintain immigration control in Panama,' said the president.

The fines will vary in amount depending on the severity of the offense and can be paid in local currency or dollars. In addition, procedures will be established to appeal the fines in case they are deemed unfair.

The president also announced that surveillance at the borders will be reinforced and immigration controls will be intensified to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
