The commissioners continue to hold public consultations on the bill aimed at amending several articles of the Organic Law of the Social Security Fund (CSS).
During these consultations, some deputies have questioned the absence of representatives from the Executive in the discussions about the reforms to the CSS. They have expressed their concern about the lack of government participation in such a crucial issue as the social security system in Panama.
Deputy Ana Giselle Rosas has stated that it is essential for the Executive to actively participate in these discussions, as the proposed reforms will have a significant impact on the population, and it is necessary to have the vision and input of the government.
On their part, other legislators have emphasized the importance of having all parties involved in the social security system represented in the discussions to ensure that the reforms are fair and beneficial for all citizens.
In response to the criticisms, it is expected that representatives of the Executive will join the upcoming meetings to share their opinions and work together with the legislators in the search for solutions that strengthen the social security system in the country.
