One of the spokespersons for Alianza Pueblo Unido stated: "It is essential that our voices are heard and our concerns regarding the proposed reforms, which we believe may negatively impact the population, are taken into account."

The main objective of the march is to raise awareness in society about the possible impacts of the measures under discussion and to pressure authorities to reconsider certain aspects of the project.

For its part, the Ministry of Health has activated the necessary protocols to address the detected case of Oropouche Fever and has urged the population to remain calm and follow health recommendations to prevent the spread of this disease.
