The Panama senior national football team held a full training session yesterday ahead of their final two matches in the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers.
Panama will face Guatemala away tomorrow, Thursday, and will conclude the qualifiers at home against El Salvador on Tuesday, November 18. Midfielders Aníbal Godoy and Edward Cedeño were the last to join the national squad, which trained at the Pandeportes High Performance Center (CAR) in Juan Díaz.
With two days to go until the penultimate qualifier, the coaching staff led a tactical training session focused on emphasizing the game plan and strategy to be used against the Guatemalan team.
«It was a one-hour practice, under a scenario of total commitment, aimed at leaving no stone unturned, thinking about what might happen on rival territory,» states a press release from the Panamanian Football Federation (FPF).
For today, Wednesday, the team will train at 8:30 AM at the Pandeportes CAR.
Following the training session, the National Team will travel in the afternoon via charter flight at 2:00 PM to Guatemala City. Upon arrival in Guatemala, it is planned for Head Coach Christiansen to hold a press conference at the team's hotel around 7 PM Panama time, and after the conference, a pitch inspection for the match venue will take place.
