The Panama women's futsal team is in the final stages of preparation for the World Championship. The team, led by former national player Amarelis De Mera, has been training this week at Yappy Park from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The players are staying at a local hotel. The next step is to travel to Manila, Philippines, on the evening of November 17, to complete their preparation for the tournament. Panama will face Italy on November 23, Iran on November 26, and Brazil on November 29 in the group stage. The team qualified for the World Cup by finishing second in the CONCACAF qualifying final, where they lost 8-2 to Canada.
