Adolfo Machado is seeking his first title in Panamanian football with his beloved team Alianza FC.
"It would be a great blessing to lift a title with the institution (Alianza) that saw me grow, form at the national and international level," expressed Machado.
Recall that the central defender played in the final of the 2022 Apertura Tournament defending the colors of Sporting San Miguelito, but it was Alianza who lifted their only title to date by winning 1-2.
He also acknowledged that he dreams of winning "his first title" in Panamanian football.
Adolfo Machado is 40 years old, he did not elaborate on a possible retirement from his football career, but he sent a message that he is very close to it.
Machado has played and been champion in teams such as Comunicaciones of Guatemala.
Now Machado is playing another final, but this time for his beloved Alianza, who will face Plaza Amador on Saturday for the Clausura 2025 title.
In Costa Rica, he was a champion with Saprissa and Alajuelense, no easy feat, he won the US Open Cup with Dynamo Houston in 2018, but curiously, he has never been able to win a title in the top tier of Panamanian football.
