The team of journalists, representing the digital newspaper Panorama Económico, continues its triumphant run in the I Softball Tournament of Professional Guilds, after achieving two victories in a doubleheader this Saturday against the teams of Morgan & Morgan (lawyers) and Fusión. Led by Cristóbal A. Chendes, the 'Periodistas' mounted a strong offensive in the first game against Morgan & Morgan, winning 14-4. Key players included catcher Lenín Ramos (3 hits), Jefferson Araúz (3 hits), Pastor Barsallo (1 hit), Didacio Camargo (1 hit), and pitcher Efraín Castillo (2 hits), who was instrumental in securing victories in both games. In the second game, the 'Periodistas' shut out the Fusión team 5-0, with solid batting and excellent defense from center fielder Jefferson Araúz, shortstop Alexis Jones, third baseman Aníbal González, left fielder Jean Piere Cheng, and veteran Aurelio Macías, who is emerging as a top contender for the best outfielder award for his outstanding performance on the field. The 'Comunicadores' team, already undefeated and qualified for the semi-finals, will face the 'Médicos' in the next round, positioning themselves as the favorites to win the softball tournament being held at the sports complex of the Comptroller General of the Republic.
