Panama crushes Curaçao in qualifying debut

Panama's women's team defeated Curaçao 6-0 in their first qualifying match, with Ericka Araúz scoring a brace in a dominant performance.


Panama secured a dominant 6-0 victory over Curaçao in their first match of the Concacaf W 2025/26 qualifying tournament Group E. The match was held at the Rignaal “Jean” Francisca Stadium in Willemstad. Coached by Toña Is, the Panamanian team faced little difficulty. Goals were scored by Karla Riley, Khaterin Parris, Ericka Araúz (2), Hilary Jaén, and Riley Tanner. The first half was challenging due to the pitch conditions. At halftime, the coach made adjustments, leading to five goals in the second half. Ericka Araúz, who scored two goals and was named Player of the Match, made her qualifying debut with a brace. Lineth Cedeño also suffered a knee injury and was substituted in the 19th minute.
