Panama finished in 30th place in the latest FIFA world ranking for 2025. The Panamanian team has a total of 1540.43 points, positioning it behind Norway (29th) with 1553.14, Ukraine (28th) with 1557.47, and Canada (27th) with 1559.15 among its closest competitors. In the new FIFA ranking, Panama has climbed six spots, moving from 36th to 30th place compared to its position at the end of the December 2024 classification. Within CONCACAF, the national team is only behind Mexico (14th), the United States (15th), and Canada (27th), placing fourth in the region. Behind Panama are Costa Rica in 49th place, Honduras (65th), Jamaica (70th), Curacao (82nd), Haiti (84th), and Guatemala (94th), completing the top 10 of CONCACAF, which makes the Panamanian team the first in the Central American region. The main achievement of the national team in the last month was qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026, winning its last two matches against Guatemala and El Salvador.
