Panama National Team Announces Legionnaires List for Bolivia and Mexico Matches

The Panama National Team revealed the list of legionnaires for January friendlies against Bolivia and Mexico. Players got club clearance for matches outside FIFA dates. Training starts January 12.


The Panama Senior National Team has announced the list of legionnaires called up for the upcoming friendly matches in January against Bolivia and Mexico. In the coming days, the list of players called up to train from the Panamanian Football League (LPF) will be announced. These players have received authorization from their clubs to play in both preparation matches, as they are held outside of the so-called FIFA dates. The legionnaires are: Kadir Barría from Botafogo, Brazil; Richard Peralta and Jovani Welch from Monagas SC, Venezuela; Eddie Roberts from Estudiantes de Mérida, Venezuela; Jorge Gutiérrez from Deportivo La Guaira, Venezuela; Daniel Aparicio from Real España, Honduras, and John Gunn from New England Revolution II, USA. Local players, along with the legionnaires, will report this Monday, January 12, for the start of training at COS Sports Plaza in Metro Park. Panama will face Bolivia as a visitor this Sunday, January 18, in their first friendly match, and then will host Mexico on Thursday, January 22, at the Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez Stadium, concluding their two preparation matches outside the so-called FIFA dates. The National Team is scheduled to travel this Thursday, January 15, heading to Bolivia to face their first international match.
