Stadium Rehabilitation in Colón Reaches 85%

The rehabilitation project of the Armando Dely Valdés stadium in Colón, Panama, has reached 85% physical progress. Technical teams are completing work on synthetic grass installation, grandstand waterproofing, and electrical wiring.

These works will allow the area to be prepared for the assembly of the seats and the installation of the support structure for the main screen. Regarding the grandstand infrastructure, the technical team is advancing with waterproofing works, by applying layers of sealant and specialized paint. It was indicated that only the distribution of silica sand in specific areas remains pending, a key step to guarantee the stability and durability of the playing surface. Eduardo Álvarez, representative of the contracting company PROLOSA, informed that one of the most important components of the project is the installation of synthetic grass, which is in its final phase with 95% execution. In addition, the installation of the general electrical wiring of the stadium remains underway. The rehabilitation project of the Armando Dely Valdés Football Stadium, in the community of Arco Iris in the corregimiento of Cristóbal on the outskirts of the city of Colón, records a physical progress of 85%. In parallel, work continues on the tartan athletics track, where leveling and compaction work is currently being carried out. According to the established schedule, in the coming days, the pouring of a 5-centimeter thick asphalt layer will be carried out, which will serve as a base for the subsequent application of the final synthetic coating. This percentage comes from a report presented by the Directorate of Territorial Development of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (DDT/MEF) during its most recent technical inspection of the work.
